輪：現在已經有越來越多車隊使用碳纖輪下去比賽了，傳統輪組越來越罕見...特別是碳纖維輪的空力表現，在250+km 的比賽中還是會有隱而未現的影響...
胎：輪胎贊助商在這場比賽中會比較放任車隊採用非贊助的胎，特別是Dugast 跟FMB 的客製胎...但也有例外：MAVIC...他們根本沒生產肥胎，被贊助的車隊想用非M 牌胎，就只好把MAVIC 品牌標蓋上...就輪胎寬度來說--最細的是Ag2r La Mondiale 使用的米奇林胎 24.7mm，最寬的是Europcar ，他們把30mm 的胎裝在可樂果的CX 車上...
胎壓：這是最難搞的...通常是越高大的車手使用較高的胎壓，但湯不能採用全場最低的胎壓，這...機械師通常很頭痛，甚至他們會測量輪胎消氣的速度，讓前100km 的柏油路面可以用較高胎壓省點力氣，到了石板路卻消得剛剛好...
防漏劑：唉唉...用？還是不用？這是目前最具爭議的議題...有一點是確定的，液態乳膠一點幫助也沒有，因為大多數爆胎都是蛇咬...不過給資料的16 支車隊中7 支有用，9 支沒用...技師沒特別提他們用什麼產品，不過車隊巴士維修區有發現一些Stan's liquid latex, Vittoria Pit Stop 的罐子...
